Jaekob Discovers Saphira Was Injured

Jaekob Faolan slips quietly into the infirmary, his eyes instantly darting to Allie (NPC), the apprentice healer, "Vedui Allie," he says softly and then follows her worried look across the room to the bed in the corner.

Jaekob Faolan: "Saphira," he exclaims rushing to her.

Saphira Mistwalker moans softly and looks up, "Jaekob."

Saphira Mistwalker smiles weakly.

Jaekob Faolan: "By the Ghods, what happened to you, my friend?" and he quickly looks at her, assessing her condition, "Why....wha..... what are those bandages for?" he asked kneeling down by her bedside.

Saphira and Jaekob
Saphira Mistwalker sighs, "I fear the Drow Ilmryn and I had a little misunderstanding."

Saphira Mistwalker giggles weakly. "I misuderstood how dangerous he could be."

Jaekob Faolan swallows hard and takes her hand in his for a brief moment, "Misunderstanding hmmm? I was certain he was gone after the vanquishing of the Demon. Tell me what injuries have you."

Saphira Mistwalker grimaces, and looks serious. "A minor scratch or two, some nasty cuts on my arms, and a fairly deep wound to the stomach. Luckily Lady Fitheach was nearby and found me soon after I returned to my cave."

Saphira Mistwalker: "Oh, and the daggers he used were poisoned."

Jaekob Faolan: "Fit treated you then," he says drawing a deep breath. "Her skills are exemplary so I am certain you are on the mend. Poisoned arrows? Are you certain she drew the poison out? And may I look at the wound to your stomach?" he asks already gently removing the bandages.

Saphira Mistwalker: "She said something about drawing poultices."

Saphira Mistwalker me winces slightly as Jaekob moves the bandages.

Jaekob Faolan nods, looking at the exposed wound and bites his lip, "This does not look as serious as you said..... is there some reason you are mending so well?"

Saphira Mistwalker smiles. "Dragons are hardy. Our blood runs hot and burns away most poisons and disease. We tend to heal rapidly, if we survive the original encounter."

Saphira Mistwalker frowns. "Although, I must say, I was not at all sure I WAS going to survive. His attack was swift and unexpected."

Jaekob Faolan nods, a slight smile curling onto his lips. He takes the spoiled bandage and drops it in the bucket beside the bed and reaching for a new bandage gently wraps the wound. He reaches for the chair beside the bed and turning it to face her, sits. "Thank the Ghods for that. Now tell me what happened with you and this Ryn..."

Jaekob Sits with Saphira
Saphira Mistwalker nods, thinking back. "I went seeking Arianna, as we had discussed. I was not far into the Underdark when I came upon Ilmryn. I demanded to see Arianna, and when he refused, I became angry. I drew my daggers and he attacked. He moved so fast, and he was behind me before I could react. I tried to deflect his daggers, but I just got more cuts for my efforts. And then, when he said he would let me go, he slashed me in the stomach. I fled, mostly on foot, back to my cave."

Saphira Mistwalker looks morose. "It hurt so much from the poison, and I was so dizzy."

Jaekob Faolan swallows, his face pale and impassive at best, "I....I....." and he stops before saying more. "But, you are feeling much better now, yes?"

Saphira Mistwalker smiles. "Aye, I am. Lady Fitheach treated me, and whatever she used, it seemed to draw the poison. I am a little weak, but I feel I am growing stronger. I ... i still need to fly back to visit my elders. I hope ... I need ... to be well enough to fly in a couple of days."

Jaekob Faolan: "Hmm are you certain that is wise, my friend?

Saphira Mistwalker smiles, and laughs a little bitterly. "Wise, my friend, does not seem to be in my vocabulary of late. But, I believe my elders need to know the events here, and perhaps they can guide me in how best to deal with the drow and the unseelie fae. I remain committed to a treaty between my clan and the River Lands. I must make that plea personally to my clan."

Saphira Mistwalker: "Aran, I really do believe with a couple days rest I will be strong enough. Please, I need to do this. I need to redeem my failure."

Jaekob Faolan nods, drawing in a deep breath, "Well I confess I do not know so much about the make up of a dragon, but you are healing rather rapidly. I trust you judgement in that you will only make this journey if you are absolute in your wellness."

Saphira Mistwalker smiles.. "I promise to be a good patient for the next couple of days, and then I will conserve my strength and take frequent stops when I go."

Saphira Mistwalker in the Infirmary
Jaekob Faolan: "Fair enough," he says softly with a bit of a smile. I am anxious to hear from your elders as to a treaty so I will not argue the point as long as you are confident you can make the flight and arrive safely."

Saphira Mistwalker sighs relief. "Thank you. I will be careful, and I will be back in a fortnight. Please, let the others here know that I am all right."

Jaekob Faolan me leans in, "I will make sure Fit and the others know you  are on the mend and will be making a trip home in a few days."

Saphira Mistwalker nods and looks Jaekob directly in the eyes. "And you Aran, take care. Be wary of that Drowess, and do not take any chances."

Jaekob Faolan chuckles nervously, "I promise I will do nothing I do not have to do, I will be careful," he says softly standing and turning slightly away to mask his intentions

Saphira Mistwalker nods, knowing full well Jaekob will do what he must. "Good even Jaekob."

Jaekob Faolan: "Namaarie, my dear friend, "he says softly and turns to Allie."Take good care of our friend and send for me if needed hmmm? And I will check in first thing in the morn," he says walking away a bit briskly.
